Royal Enfield Continental GT aka Café Racer is going to launch in UK by the next month, i.e. in September 2013.
Though it is in the hype of Indian media for quite a long time, and had been spied for an umpteen number of times on our shores, it is the Englishmen who will see it first than we Indians (who seems busy with ‘castlejackpot.com‘ these days).
This piece of news is confirmed by a leading media house of India, which says the telephonic conversation with Eicher Motors Managing Director & CEO Siddhartha Lal had also revealed – same may make debut In India by the end of “this year” or nearby spot.
In order to meet the rising demand of the customer, the organization has setup a new plant in India near Oragadam, Chennai recently. But disappointingly the rising demand doesn’t seem to be cutting off the waiting period in spite of the production being notched tremendously.
On increasing of the production, Mr. Lal said, “We have said that this year we will have a total of 1.75 lakh units from two plants. Next year it will go up to 2.5 lakh units.”
However, it is a sigh of relief came from the house of Indian bike maker, that Café Racer is going to launch in India by end of this year, there seems the officials also working hard to meet the best possible solutions for downsizing the waiting period which now rests at the tenure of six months approximately.
Royal Enfield’s exports bikes to over 40 countries across the world, including USA, Japan and UK inclusive of other European countries in its repertoire. Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird in both 350 and 500 cc displacements are the favorite models to name a one RE in abroad.
The brand operates in India via 11 company-owned stores and 250 dealers in all major cities and towns.
Middle East as well as the South Asia (who are a lot interested in casino gaming) are also not excluded from the list of exports.
